Deliverance is a video game concept inspired by a mixture of rugby and american football. Set in a world undergoing climate colapse, players have to fight through a series of stadiums to secure a place on shuttles that bring a limited number of people to new colonies in space.

Set in different physical environments, each stadium holds a distinct set of obstacles and dangers for the teams. In between games, players have the opportunity to train, buy and trade armor & equipment to better prepare for each environment. An important strategic aspect of the game. While the deep sea stadium demands the players to be under water for the duration of the game, the desert stadium exposes them to extreme heat and sun.

The concept for Deliverance originated from a design pitch for UK based company Natural Motion who asked NAU's Tino Schaedler to design stadiums for their upcoming PS3/XBOX 360 game, Backbreaker.
